Housing affordability in the United States is getting worse, with some experts even calling it a crisis.
Median home prices in the first quarter of 2019 were not affordable for average wage earners. That’s according to a new housing report from real estate market database ATOM Data Solutions,
Nationwide, the current income needed to buy a typical home exceeds $60,000, well above the incomes of the majority of American households.

Almost all the counties on this list are in New York state or California.
