The Q2 analysis of Government data shows the median home price in California hit its largest number for the third straight month.

The median price for a home in California in June was $611,420. That is a slight increase from May and a one-and-a-half percent increase from 2018. We used new figures from the California Department of Finance.

Even as housing prices hit new highs, sales are growing cool, so the state has recently declared a housing emergency. That tagged the housing market is “weak.”

Overall, the department found that statewide home sales for the first half of the year are down 5.9 percent. We certainly will continue to follow the housing market for you.
